Hugendubel Savings Guide
Hugendubel offers several ways to reduce the cost of books, eBooks, audiobooks, tolino devices, films, music, toys, and gifts. The best option depends on the product category and whether you shop online or in a store.
Browse the Preishits and Sale Sections
Hugendubel regularly lists reduced products in its Preishits section. The selection includes books, eBooks, audiobooks, CDs, films, music, toys, and other entertainment products.
- Check the current book sale for reduced titles.
- Look for eBook bargains and weekly eBook deals.
- Explore discounted audiobooks, including selected CDs under €10.
- Review product pages carefully because price reductions and availability can change.
Use the Hugendubel Customer Card
The Hugendubel customer card lets shoppers collect Lesepunkte with eligible purchases online, in stores, and through the Hugendubel app. These points can be exchanged for rewards or vouchers.
- Register for the Hugendubel customer card.
- Collect Lesepunkte when purchasing eligible products.
- Redeem points for available rewards or vouchers.
- Receive access to selected discounts, special offers, personalized promotions, and exclusive events.
- Get 250 starting points when providing an email address and confirming permission to receive information about offers and recommendations by email.
- Customer card holders receive 30% off selected readings and events for themselves and one accompanying person.
- Customer card holders receive 10% direct discount at participating Café des Lesens locations in selected Hugendubel stores.
Some purchases do not qualify for points, including gift cards, vouchers, book vouchers, event tickets, stamps, magazines, newspapers, and certain other excluded transactions.
Sign Up for the Newsletter
Hugendubel’s newsletter provides information about the online shop, stores, products, and selected recommendations. Newsletter registration is free, and the service can be cancelled at any time.
Save on Delivery Costs
Hugendubel states that books and orders containing at least one book can be delivered within Germany without shipping charges. Orders with a value of at least €29 also qualify for free delivery according to the shop’s information.
- Combine eligible items in one order when practical.
- Consider ordering several books together instead of placing multiple smaller orders.
- Choose store collection when convenient, with collection available at more than 100 Hugendubel stores.
Check the tolino Price Guarantee
Hugendubel offers a price guarantee for selected tolino eReaders. If a qualifying new tolino shine, tolino shine color, tolino vision color, or tolino epos is available from another retailer at a lower consumer price on the day of purchase, Hugendubel states that it can provide a voucher for the difference after verification.
- Submit a screenshot showing the retailer and offer details within three days of purchase.
- Alternatively, present the current offer when collecting the device at a Hugendubel store.
- Marketplace offers, such as listings from eBay or Amazon Marketplace, are excluded.
- The price guarantee is not combinable with other discount promotions.
Consider Mängelexemplare
Mängelexemplare are books with minor damage that does not affect readability. Hugendubel marks these copies accordingly, and the former fixed book price no longer applies to them. Check the product description for the exact condition and price comparison.
Compare Formats Before Buying
When a title is available in multiple formats, compare the prices of the hardcover, paperback, eBook, audiobook download, and audiobook CD versions. A different format may offer a lower purchase price while providing the same content.
Plan Purchases Around Your Needs
- Use the Preishits section for reduced titles and limited offers.
- Collect Lesepunkte on eligible purchases with the customer card.
- Subscribe to the newsletter for shop and product updates.
- Combine eligible items to avoid delivery charges.
- Check the tolino price guarantee before buying a qualifying eReader.
- Review product conditions when considering Mängelexemplare.
- Compare different formats before completing an order.
